Workshop #1 • 10:45 – 12:00
Friday, October 27thIn this workshop, we will explore how the voice works, what vocal technique entails, and most importantly, why and how all of this helps us in singing praises to the Lord. Regardless of your musical level, your voice has a noble purpose of proclaiming the name of the Lord. Therefore, it’s worth understanding how you can use it more effectively.

Laura Frim
In this workshop, we will discover several skills required for a sound engineer, as well as how to choose the right equipment. Then, by combining these two aspects, we will serve the Church by creating an atmosphere where the focus is not on technology, but on God and His glory. Come prepared with questions, as we aim to interact and address the topics in a practical manner.

Music Director (MD) – a whim or a real necessity? A supportive or a distracting voice? What qualifies you to be an MD and what are the main responsibilities of this position within the worship team? How to communicate effectively and clearly during rehearsals and live services? In this workshop, we will answer these questions from the perspective of principles and practices within the worship music style.

This workshop aims to provide essential knowledge about the importance of a strong vision rooted in Scripture and concrete ways to shape an effective strategy to achieve your goals. In this workshop, we will explore the Vertical Worship vision and you will understand why having a clear vision is so crucial. We will also examine how you can transform this vision into tangible reality. The practical materials you will receive will help you implement the acquired knowledge. You will leave the workshop with a set of practical tools that you can immediately use to turn your vision into reality and guide your team toward the dream provided by God. Whether you are a worship leader, pastor, or someone passionate about development, this workshop will offer you a solid framework to understand and apply the essential principles for turning vision into action.”

From the start of our days, to the tasks at hand, to even the way we lay our heads to rest, everything is an opportunity to worship. With every moment being sacred, we must become aware of the paths toward holiness that are readily available and seize those opportunities daily. Off-platform rhythms are where formation happens, and what is formed offstage will find its way on stage. Staying in the narrow way off-platform through practical rhythms will not only make worship leadership more effective, but will more importantly draw us deeper into communion with God.

Judd Harris
In this workshop, you will become acquainted with ProPresenter 7 (PP7). You will learn how to navigate through PP7, create themes for songs or sermons, understand “props,” explore “macros,” and much more! Do you want to know more? Join us at the workshop! But if you consider yourself an advanced user, you can learn more at the workshop: PP7 – Part II!

God is the God of all generations. Do you desire to have in your church a generation of worshippers who not only sing but worship in spirit and truth? Have you also noticed the challenge that certain generations face when it comes to worship? Perhaps it’s because some were not taught to worship from a young age. Come to this workshop if you are involved in children’s ministry and learn how to create an appropriate environment for them to grow and learn to worship.

“While a servant needs many skills to be effective in the work to which God has called them, this alone is not enough. A clean testimony and a healthy character are vital things that they need. If you want to learn how to develop and maintain such a character, I invite you to this workshop.”

Sergiu Dicoi
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to receive a vocal evaluation and a few vocal exercises tailored to your voice type, while also observing how other voices react. This workshop is for those who recognize the following scenarios in their voice: I don’t have enough volume/I run out of breath/I can’t sustain my pitch/I feel like I have two voices/I feel tension in my throat/I have intonation issues/My voice gets tired easily. If you’re experiencing one or more of these issues, come to this workshop to learn why and how you can address the problem. Come prepared with a melodic fragment that challenges you, and within the available time, you may volunteer for a vocal diagnosis.

“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper [door holder] in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” (Psalm 84:10) Door Holders are people who have been on the inside, experienced Jesus, and want to hold the door open for others to be welcomed in. In this breakout, Rachel shares the core values of her worship team at Passion City Church DC, and offers insight into cultivating a heart posture of willing, joyful service on a worship team.

What is a worship leader, and what is their role? What does the preparation of a worship leader look like, both in private and in public? How can we craft exhortations and spoken moments to have maximum impact? Many times, we are overwhelmed or inhibited by this title because we don’t fully understand the role and we feel we can’t lead worship confidently. This workshop will answer these questions, and we hope it brings clarity and encouragement to worship leaders! We warmly welcome you to attend!

The purpose of Sunday services is to glorify God through worship, Word, prayer, service, and much more. Media production within church services can either support these moments or divert attention. In this workshop, Marius will present the importance and purpose of media production, the preparation throughout the week, rehearsals, and most importantly, the unity in spirit during worship through song and the Word.

To God, our surrender matters more than our skill. This breakout is designed to encourage, empower, and disciple women who lead worship to lay aside the hindrance of self, and step into the humility and authority of Spirit-led worship.

When we talk about worship, we often think of events, bands, equipment, or songs. However, just like in any other church ministry, the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus touches the essence: “Make disciples!” I invite you to explore together what role worship ministry plays in the disciple-making process and how we can contribute to forming generations that are closer to the Lord and more effective in promoting the values of God’s Kingdom. Let’s discover strategies to fulfill the Great Commission in this workshop!

How did the christians of the generation immediately following the apostles worship? How did they pray, sing, and organize their meetings in the early church, where believers still remembered the Lord Jesus’ disciples, whom they had seen in person? We invite you to this workshop where you will learn more about how christians experienced worship in its beginnings, prior to institutionalization, fossilization, or dilution. Sometimes, the best way to move forward is by looking back, specifically at the worship history of the early believers.”

With God speaking and working at all times, we must be ready to hear His call and choose His way. He speaks through our everyday work, He speaks through our mentors, and He especially speaks through His Word. To remember every word of the Lord is the desire of every heart, and He often helps us through life-changing lessons. “3 Thoughts That Changed My Worship Leadership Forever” is an overview of the best lessons i’ve learned over the years, lessons i’ve come back to over and over again that keep me on the narrow way.

How can you incorporate Planning Center Services into this process so that your team has the necessary resources before rehearsal? Come to this workshop to learn more.
